”I wanted to become a big person by reading a lot, the old man gave up the bicycle due to compulsion”

What you should know

Time and circumstances may not work well for our family! Suffering, lack and struggle kept knocking on the door. Otherwise, I would be holding a book in my hand and reading on campus. However, I am riding an old bicycle and going from village to village selling dunot-pauroti.

When I was 5 years old, I fell. Our land was not much, everything had to be bought and eaten. There was a small house on 6 dhur land. Mother, brother and I were at home . With many sorrows, the mother worked as a wage laborer and studied till class 10.

But, where was it easy to raise a family of three with one person's income? Couldn't study after SEE . Now I am 21 years old . The old market at Gaighat in Udaipur, where I spent my childhood, is now home. Mother and brother are at home . I came to Jhapa with the intention of working and earning money.

I gave the SEE exam from Triyuga Model High School in Gaighat . After that, I went to look for a job while looking at the misery of the house. Where was it easy to get a job? I finally got a job . In the beginning, I started loading and unloading stones and sand on tractors in the village.

but, young age . I could not do that heavy work of stone and sand for a long time. There is a Mawli house in the tunnel of Jhapa. Jhapa is an easy district. I didn't learn any skills, I didn't even go to work .

While looking for a job, I got a job in a dunot-pauroti making industry in Kankarvitta, a border town. 10,000 monthly salary was . I did all the work . 17 months have passed . Then a new idea emerged . It was a borrowed bicycle. It was said that this dunot-pauroti would not be sold when it was sold from village to village.

Then I started going from village to village on my bicycle with dunot-pauroti and other bakery items. Today it has been four months since he started selling goods by going from village to village. Now I live in a room in the old customs house in Kankarvitta . 3000 must be paid for the room rent. 3,540,000 per month is spent on room rent after water and electricity bills.

I wake up at 4 am. I reach the factory and load the goods and reach the village. If it sells well, it earns 5-600 rupees a day . It doesn't sell much when it rains. Even if I sleep until 1-2 o'clock in the day, I sit holding Kamal when there is no sale .

Earned money tries to pay room rent, buy pulses and rice. Had to eat fish and meat from time to time. However, I will save some amount . I want to make a lot of saved money and send it home to my mother . There is a desire to buy new clothes for mother and brother on Dasai . It's been a long time since I bought new clothes for myself. Buying and wearing new clothes on Dasai is a big deal.

This bicycle is also a loan . From the money earned by selling goods throughout the day, I will pay the money for the goods to the creditor . The remaining amount after paying the creditor is my earnings . I don't want to go to a big country and earn a lot of money! But, after leaving home, you understand . This time is not about money.

We don't have money, and no one will give us a loan . But he has not stopped dreaming. I have many dreams. I am struggling tirelessly to fulfill those dreams. After all, dreams come true, don't they!
