The salary for working in Garmentum was 2500 rupees per month. It was difficult to earn a living in Kathmandu with that much income. The room rent was 1400 rupees. With the remaining 1100 rupees, it would have been difficult to manage the ration and water. Without money, one day he was hungry. If the room rent could not be paid on time, the housekeeper used to scold him for vacating the room . Even when I remember, I feel like how I spent that moment. 

I am now 41 years old. In 2065, Ramechhap got married to Prince Tamang of Bethan. Stayed in Kathmandu for some time after marriage. To make a living, I started working in a gift shop around 2067 . When I saw the cushions and dolls sold there, I wanted to make them myself. Fulfilling that desire, I learned to make dolls and cushions. Slowly it started to feel that the sad days are ending . The number of families also increased. A daughter was born as the first child. Husband also got a government job . Then we came to Kavre in the year 2069 . 

Since the husband is a government employee, he had to reach different places for employment. Since her husband had a temporary job, her earnings alone were enough to support the household. In the meantime, I used to do sewing and weaving to earn a living .

became a son as the second child . Family responsibilities also increased. Expenses for educating sons and daughters and running household also started to increase. Think of running a business to manage everything. Opened a shop to carry out tailoring and weaving business professionally . I also started training that the skills I know should not be limited to myself.

I also prepared masks and PP sets during Covid-19 . Also learned the skill of making bags . Since the market was good at that time, business was also good. I also gave employment to two people. At that time, there was a minimum monthly income of 40,000 .

used to be sent by taking orders . Now its market is not good . Made and not sold. 25-30 thousand is being earned monthly by investing about 3 lakhs . This income is enough to cover rent and household expenses. 

I also registered a business at the home office to see if I can get business promotion and other support . Now is the era of online . I also tried that it would be good to put it online . The goods have not been sold even when they are given at wholesale. The husband's income alone has covered the household expenses .

It is difficult to make a living with an income of 25/30 thousand in today's high prices. That amount of money is not even enough to pay the rent of the shop and the room where he is staying. I am working so that I can earn even if I have two or four money instead of living empty . I am working with the idea of being independent. After working by yourself, you don't have to pat your hands in front of others for your expenses . If the market is good, I have thought to expand the business in the future and employ many women.
