18 years ago, I came to the headquarters Khalanga from Sifti village, Kankasundari Rural Municipality-1, Jumla. It was not a challenge for a person from a remote village to come and live in the headquarters of Khalanga. I sold all the 56 thousand square meters of land in the village and came to the headquarters.

They were unable to return home as they had sold the land. Three lakh rupees were received. There was a fear of becoming a squatter if we did that too. Now I am 60 years old . Even now, my eyes are filled with tears when I remember the sufferings I went through. With the money I brought from the village, I built a small hut in Bigarachanga of Chandannath Municipality-3. Since he was born in a poor family, he did not go to school, and there was no one to teach him the alphabet at home. But it was a big mistake to introduce the letter even if it was by hurting the children.

I got married at the age of 16 . 9 children were born. The responsibility increased even more . Their upbringing and education became like a mountain of main challenges. Unemployed people . Kalapahad was forced to raise a family. Sometimes the shoes would be torn, sometimes the clothes would be torn, sometimes the hat would not be visible on the head and the heart would be broken . The children used to worry when they ran out of kapikalam, and now the problem of where to buy it was added. Raised ten children. All have studied higher education . Now, 8 out of 9 children are working in the police. 

At the age of 20, I hit Kalapahad. In India, there was work to build roads, carry apples, carry sand, plant plants in gardens and take care of gardens . I was ready to do any work to support the family . I did this job continuously for 7 years . Every year I used to bring home up to 70 thousand rupees by doing similar work in Kalapahad. That amount would cover food and clothing. After seeing that this work does not bring happiness, I changed my profession. And started selling hing, sheelajit, rudraraksha beads . This business also did not go well. But no matter how sad it was, there was no happiness without doing business .

Even now, I spend three months of winter in Kalapahad. The journey has not stopped at Kalapahad, but I have changed my job. Now I do clothes business . In the three months of winter, more than 70,000 are earned. Working children send money every month .

It was as happy as when the hut was erected in a small garden, now it is as satisfying. It's good that all the children who were taught by grief became employed. Now I have more than 20 thousand square meters of land . Interest in vegetable farming also increased after land was added. Now I am growing potatoes, garlic, onions, tomatoes, greens, coriander, beans, cabbage, carrots, and cucumbers. As Khalanga market is nearby, there is no problem in taking the product to the market. 

My herbs also include attis, setak sugar and padamchal . Barley, wheat, corn, millet, pea, paddy and papar cultivation are also attractive. Fruits include apples, walnuts, and peaches of various varieties . Flowers turn colorful. I planted red garlic and white garlic . By selling garlic, I earn more than a million a year. I suffered a lot before . Now he has not stopped suffering even in happiness. 

I have planted 250 apple and 300 walnut plants . Now they are not bearing fruit because they are young. But from the coming year, apples and walnuts are also going to give income . I have also raised some rabbits . So far, no agency has helped . With the skills I learned in Kalapahad and the suffering I experienced, I am now cultivating gold in my own soil. 

Had to go underground in 2058 due to Maoists . Relatives made Maoists sad because they went to Kalapahad to earn little money. I gave 40,000 donations to the Maoists of that time . But later I joined the same Maoist. 

There are now 10 beehives around the house . Every day the buzzing sound of bees brings great joy. One hive produces up to five kg of honey. The price of honey in the market is Rs 2,500 per kg. Until five months ago, I also reared 90 sheep. There were no people watching the sheep . I sold all the sheep for 9 lakh 90 thousand rupees . Now the family of five is running from this farm . Mrs. Koire Kathayat has supported me . I am growing my own plants by grafting apples and walnuts. I am thinking of selling apples and walnuts and also selling grains to earn a lot of income. Even though he is three and twenty years old, he has not lost his passion.
