Our ancestral residence is in Thandi Jhija, Videh Municipality of Dhanusha. I have been living with my family in the model settlement of Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan city-8 for 20 years. There are three of us in the family now. Daughter Sujita is married. Son Manish is now busy preparing for public service. Since the husband is a teacher, it is not too difficult to run the household expenses.
Now I am 50 years old . Don't depend on your husband's job. I was earning a lot by doing sewing myself. However, the work was stopped during the Corona epidemic. Customers lost during the epidemic never returned. Even in that situation, I did not lose courage .
I decided to earn income by doing some work at home for the future of my children . In the beginning, after making vegetarian dishes and giving them to taste in four/five places, many people liked them . However, because the industry is not registered, no one agreed to buy the goods . After that, I registered the vegetarian Dhanusha Parikar industry and started preparing the dishes at home.
Now my industry produces 15 types of dishes . I make mango, katahar, badhar, amla, amra, lemon and sesame pickle. I also make Adauri, Tilauri, Kumhrauri, Biriya, Tisauri and Aloo Chips . Now the produced dishes are being consumed in the department store of Janakpurdham. The store owner hands over the cash . I have fixed the price of all the goods .
Adauri, Tilauri and Tisauri are packets of 200 grams. Adauri is sold at Rs 110, Tisauri at the same price and Tilauri at Rs 80. 100 grams of biriya is sold at 160 rupees, potato chips at 90 rupees and kumhrauri at 130 rupees. I sell 450 grams of mango, amra, rukhia and lemon pickles for 250 and badhar for 340.
Now I have employed two women. However, this business is seasonal. It has helped for household expenses. One lakh is saved annually by cutting all the expenses . Husband is also a high school teacher . We are saving his money . It helps to make the son independent.
Son's public service preparation class costs 5/6 thousand per month . Staying in Vada would have cost a little more . Drug treatment will cost about 25/30 thousand in a year . 20,000 per year for clothes. Being a small family, we don't spend much on clothes . Clothes bought during the festival are enough to wear throughout the year. Having become self-sufficient, difficult situations did not come in life.
Everyone in the house is vegetarian. I go to bhajan, kirtan on my free days. I have been going to Satsang for peace of mind for 20 years. When I reach Satsang, I forget all the pains in my heart, it becomes lighter. There is also opportunity for charity, virtue and service.
