”In the village, there is 6 months of drought and 6 months of famine, when there is no harvest, you have to eat kandamool”

No matter how hard you work on your father's farm, it is not enough to feed you. In Bhirpakha, there is a compulsion to grow by cutting the khoria. The village has 6 months of prosperity and 6 months of famine. When there is no harvest, one should eat tubers, if not, one should buy them from outside the district. Due to the lack of transportation facilities, some people left the village to see how many days they could survive on the grain they had brought.

Bhotkhola rural municipality-3 of Sankhuwasabha is home to Hungung Mulgaon. It has been 10 years since the capital fell to Khandbari to see if the happy heart can eat a chak . It takes 3 days to walk here from the village. Now I am 45 years old . Sadness is following with its own shadow .

If you fell ill earlier, you should have come to the headquarters for treatment. I left the village for a living with some herbs. I also settled here to give my children a good education.

I started trading herbs by sitting in the pool of the headquarters . Even now, the household expenses are running from the same business . Since the herbal business is difficult to meet the expenses, now I have started selling fruits as well . Wife is helping in the business here . There is no address for

earnings. 1 thousand to 2500 are traded on the same day. 6,000 rent must be paid on the last day of the month of a room . I spend the whole day wandering around the goods store . Fruits should be bought from a wholesaler . If not sold, more than half are wasted due to rotting.

The village house has become a stranger to me. I have heard that the road is being built next to the house. Transport has not yet been operational . Health, roads and education are not moving and there is a problem.

Two sons are studying in a government school . I have also passed SLC . There was no option to do business after not getting a job as usual. I have grown fruits and herbs more than before by earning more.

I went to Qatar once to earn money in 2073. About 2 lakhs were spent at that time . I ate a lot until I ate there and returned home after spending a year. One son is graduating in public health in Kathmandu. 25,000 per month should be sent for that.

Little son studies IT, but, he earns and spends, now I don't have to spend for him .

After suffering abroad, I started a business to do something in my own village. My parents passed away when I was young. I also got married at a young age. Couldn't read after having to take care of household affairs. Even if it means hurting their sons, they are willing to teach as much as they say.

It takes me more than 15,000 a month to run my daily life in Khandbari . You can't buy rice and eat it, a bag of 25 kg of rice costs at least 3 thousand. Salt is 30 rupees per kilo, oil, maramsala are also expensive, the expenses are also huge.

I like to eat fish and meat too. If you add all that, 15,000 is not enough for a month . There is little profit in selling herbs and chauri tails . Selling fruit earns 15 to 20 rupees per kilo. Due to the recession, there is not much business . The customer has to wait all day .

Herbs should be brought from Bhotkhola . Buying from others costs a lot of money . So you have to go to the forest of Bhotkhola and find it. Those who collect herbs also charge a high price for their labor . However, customers look for herbs at affordable prices. Dhupi, Padamchal, Pakhanbed, Bikhumma and other herbs are available in my shop . Ekbar's life is still going on even though it is sad.

The big goal is nothing . Saving a little money and building a house is a trick. 7 years ago, I bought a small ghderi by putting three lakhs in the sundanda of Khandbari . Now I have fenced with zinc leaves in the same place.
