Five years ago, her husband came down to Virendra Nagar in Surkhet from Sija Valley of Hima Rural Municipality-1 in Jumla to pay for the house. He had good driving skills. He used to get a monthly salary of 6,000 for driving a private school bus here. That kind of money would cover room rent and two meals. Sometimes when the money left over was sent home, it was enough to help buy medicine.

Three years ago, I also came to Surkhet for treatment after my mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law and brother-in-law separated from the joint family. And we enrolled our son in this school . Now three children, mother and we live together as husband and wife . We have rented a room and kitchen in Itram, Birendranagar.  

I am now 31 years old. I have been burning and selling corn on the roadside for three years after my husband's income started causing problems for room rent and food. There is not enough land in Sinja. When a house is shared by everyone, we have a room. We came here looking for an alternative as we could not eat after the fair. Even here, one cannot eat without suffering. He has no skills . That is why there is no job anywhere. 

I buy maize brought here by traders from Chitwan and Bardia and sell it at the rate of 40 to 50 ghogas per day. In the months of July and August, I sell 60 to 80 horses. When buying green corn, one mahogany costs 22 to 25 rupees.

I sell corn every year from March to October. A horse sometimes fetches 30 and sometimes 35 rupees. Selling corn sometimes earns up to 3-400 a day . Sometimes there is an income of 1 to 200 . Sometimes there is a loss . 

Even if you earn a little, you can buy pulses, vegetables, rice, salt, oil. When there is no income, the kitchen is empty . Husband's salary has increased to 15,000 per month. It makes some sense. I have saved 50 to 100 rupees a day in a cooperative. We have a debt of one lakh. Husband pays monthly installments of 6,000 after understanding the salary .

Two sons and a daughter are studying in a driving school. We have just admitted Eldest 4th, Milo 2nd grade and daughter . The school deducts 5,000 per month from the husband's salary for children's fees. We pay 3 thousand room rent . 1,000 rupees per month will be in the hands of the husband. That's why I have to raise the house expenses . 

8 to 9 thousand will be spent on pulses, vegetables and oil in a month. It costs 2 thousand to buy one gas cylinder in two months . It costs about 6,000 for lunch in the morning-evening and afternoon. My body is weak . I was admitted to the hospital only a few days ago. 11,000 was spent on treatment after the pressure drop and vomiting. We eat meat once in 15/16 days . We buy clothes 1 to 2 times a year . One should always kill the desire to eat meat and buy clothes .
