”The basis of all benefits is social security allowance only”

Now my residence is in Madhyabindu Municipality-6, Dhajaha of East Nawalparasi. This is not our ancestral land. In the old residence Madhyabindu-2, Sehri, there was also 10 katha land in the name of the family. Since farming is good there, it was not difficult for a family to eat two meals a day.

Like other villagers, Zenten was making a living from farming. Now I am 70 years old . 20 years ago, many families in the village were displaced after the Narayani river flooded the village.

The helicopter rescued us and saved us from drowning . Even though the water dried up, the settlement had to be left after the threat of flooding continued. The government gave 10/10 dhur of land to make houses for the displaced residents. Sad days started since I built a house on the same land.

After there was no land for farming, he had to do a new job for a living . When there was no way to manage household expenses, I remembered the skills of my ancestors. When I was a child, I saw my father weaving things like ropes and blankets. I started doing the same thing .

is my own story. Until the age of 10 years, the world was in turmoil for me . Then fate cheated me and I lost my sight . I still don't know why my eyes stopped seeing . Parents took him to the hospital and underwent surgery.

Although he saw a little bit for some time, both eyes gradually stopped . The future also became dark along with the world. We had to buy salt, oil and marmalade from Annapat and eat it . Even though he had to work to earn money, his friends did not want to take him because he was blind. After the

was not earned, it started to become a chore. And every day I went to the market and started selling ropes, ropes, fruits and other goods. After taking out the yarn from the sacks collected from the village houses and weaving ropes and ropes, I walk 10/12 kilometers every day to reach Chormara, Danda, Kawasoti market.

Two/three days a week I weave ropes and ropes and sell the remaining days. Since there is no one to help me, I go to the market alone . 2/3 hundred rupees are earned on the day of going to the market. As you know money, it won't be that much of a problem . With that income, I buy salt, oil, rice and return home .

I wish to eat more in the morning and in the evening than to eat sweet food . Not only mine, my brother's physical condition is also not perfect . Can't walk because of paralysis . The responsibility of taking care of everyone in the family is on the daughter-in-law's head.

Brother's sons have come to earn, I don't care . Even though they have heard that they will build a solid house by earning, their washing has not been completed yet . They say that if they could add some land, they could do farming. The basis of my wealth is social security allowance only . This Social Security Allowance and my income is enough to cover most of the house.

They think that if they could save a little money, it would be for treatment when they are sick and for food when they have no income. However, not even a penny has been saved. I haven't got a loan yet, so I consider it as savings. By the grace of God, we have not got any disease yet.

Maybe because I work hard, even at this age I don't feel like old age has touched me . That's right, not yet married. Parents did not marry in Tanneri. What to do after staying at home in old age, it is difficult to meet your own expenses.
