Even though his ancestral residence is in Tirhut rural municipality-8 of Saptari, he has nothing to his name in the village. Even though he built a terrace in Ailani, he did not get the Lalpurja because the land was not measured. After that, the family left the village and moved to Rajviraj, the headquarters.

Due to heart disease from childhood, I cannot do heavy lifting. As my body was weak along with the problem of cutting my hands, I chose to sew shoes and slippers to earn household expenses . I have made this work as a profession because it is easier than others and can be done sitting down. Since 2035, I have been sewing shoes by sitting on the roadside in Rajviraj. I migrated in 2042 and came to Hetaunda of Makwanpur. Even though I have been sewing shoes and sandals for 46 years, I am still on the street.

My wife and I are living in a dera near the industrial area located in Hetaunda-9. My three daughters are married. Three lakh rupees are required for the marriage of daughters. There is no income to repay that loan. Earlier, I used to earn up to 1000 rupees on the same day. Earnings have decreased after the local government has changed the place where shoes and slippers are sewn. Now one day one thousand and one day two hundred is not earned.

The price of sewn shoes is not exactly the same. Prices start from Rs 20 depending on the stitching. If I have to return to Seoul, I have taken up to 300. I take as much as the customer gives me when I am usually sewn and gummed. Not all customers are kind . Some of them let the shoes be sewn only after fixing the money in advance . When it is difficult to meet the household expenses from the income that is not addressed, it is like worrying about how to pay the loan.

I pay a monthly rent of three thousand rupees for a room . I am taking medicine for heart disease at the rate of 2000 per month. 10,000 per month is spent on rations and tea pots. When I return to the camp after working all day, I buy what I need for the kitchen and return from the market . Hardly one day of meat is eaten in a month . Eating a little more fish and meat is during that festival .

room needs 12,000 per month to pay the loan installments taken from microfinance. The stress of raising the same amount does not sleep all night. At the end of the month, the microfinance staff come to the room to take the loan installment.

Despite paying high interest, the principal is not able to reduce much . They pressure to reduce the principal by saying that it is not possible to pay interest only. Due to the burden of household expenses, debt and interest, it has been three years that she did not buy new clothes. This year's winter is cut by the old thick clothes.

The sub-metropolitan municipality moved the shoemakers from Rapti Road by building a tent in front of Hetaunda Hospital. After that, the people who sew shoes and sandals stopped coming to us. When we informed the municipality and ward office about this matter, there was no hearing . We are suffering a lot because no body is serious about our matter.

Daughters say father is not working . The heart does not accept to hurt the daughters until the body can bear it . So I am still working. Although it seems that the heart disease is increasing now, I did not go to the hospital due to lack of expenses. I have decided that I will pay the debt first and then only cure my illness .

During the lockdown, there was no money even for medicine. At that time, we returned to Saptari and rented other people's land and farmed it. After that also went to loss, I returned to Hetaunda and continued to sew shoes. After returning from the village during the lockdown, he has not gone yet. They don't even think of going because they don't have their own house . As much as possible, I will do it here .
