This year's annual examination of class 12 of secondary school level has started from Sunday. Chairman of the National Examination Board Mahashram Sharma informed that the first day's examination, which was conducted from 8 am to 11 am, was completed peacefully.
The board has informed that 1 thousand 590 examination centers have been determined across the country and one examination center in Japan for the examination, which will be conducted until the 2nd of May. The maximum number of 162 centers have been determined in Kathmandu and one each in Manang-Mustang district. 3 lakh 95 thousand 908 examinees including 1 lakh 98 thousand 875 male students and 1 lakh 97 thousand 13 female students are participating in the examination.
Similarly, Chairman Sharma informed that 115,617 candidates have filled the form for the exam.
This year, the least 45 examinees are participating from Manang, while the most 68 thousand 133 examinees are participating from Kathmandu, said Krishna Prasad Sharma, Controller of Examinations. Provision has been made to give the exam to the examinees who are in prisons or juvenile correctional facilities.
Meanwhile, 73-year-old Suryawati Khanal has given the exam from the examination center of Angel's Heart Secondary School in Manmaiju, Tarakeshwar Municipality-10, Kathmandu. He is a student of Gramin Adarsh Multipurpose Campus located in Tarakeshwar-11.
In the admit card, it is mentioned that he was born on July 9, 2009. Khanal, a mother of four children and grandmother of three grandchildren, after her children grew up and wanted to study, she enrolled in school and continued her studies regularly. She passed the SEE exam from Chetna Mahila Madhyamik School in Gogangbu. Her husband is a school teacher.
