I was born in Sindhuli. There was a culture of listening to the radio at home. Since my father was a folk singer, I grew up in a musical environment. Even before I was born, father Bhojraj Kafle was involved in music. As Buba's song was playing in Radio Nepal, our attention was always there.

As a child, it was amazing to hear my father's songs on the radio. My interest developed in this field from my childhood while listening to songs. The first experience for me was the song 'Sanima Mardeu Baru Bagaideu Panima' written by my father. Which I recorded as a child. Due to my family background, I progressed professionally in music.

From my father's generation to my generation, many opportunities have come in the field of music. This area has also changed over time. The Internet has brought Nepali musical creations to the international level. Various digital platforms have come up. Due to the internet, artists have got many great opportunities. Our songs are even trending on YouTube in countries like Australia, UAE, America. The market is expanding. Stage shows have expanded from home to abroad.

I got a chance to see songs and music from a very young age. It helped to understand the area better. The first opportunity was a radio in Nepal only. An opportunity was created only for those who could reach there and sing. Later FM radio, televisions started to open. From there new opportunities were created. But the common man could not reach here easily. Now the internet has given a new dimension to the music industry. If someone can sing well, a video of them sitting in a corner and singing can make waves on social media. The person may star overnight. Looking at it this way, the golden time of the music industry is now underway. 

Nowadays nobody has to struggle much to create a new identity. Now is a great time to introduce yourself. The format of past and present struggles has changed. Earlier struggles were linked to economic hardship. The challenge was to come from the village to the capital and survive. It is still a struggle. But now the main struggle as an artist seems to be on social media. Struggle to grow followers on social media, make songs viral and trending. It is also natural for an artist. It helps to bring the artist's creation to the audience. Connects with income. More than that, the way of the future has become social networks. 

Some people feel that they run behind cheap popularity. They say the trend has gone viral. But ultimately quality musical creation wins. Earlier you had to rely on the music company, now the artist can succeed by working hard on his own. The means of income have also changed. First there were cassette sales, now YouTube views, downloads and stage shows.

Now I'm in the music industry full-time. I don't have any other profession except music. I left the journalism profession and came on a musical journey. At some point I thought of going to Australia. I also filled the public service form. He also wanted to play cinema. However, with the development of technology, I saw immense potential in the field of music and dedicated myself to this field. That's what I got from music. Perhaps it would have been difficult to get any other profession. 

I got the feeling that if you are dedicated to any work, you will get success. All areas require hard work and persistence. If you work hard and produce good music, you can live by singing. One who strives to improve his creation, he gets a good name and financial advancement from the musical field. There are many artists who come to Kathmandu from the village and join the house. The progress made by those from very low caste families is traceable. It is a great achievement to come from an ordinary village and join a house and a car in Kathmandu. This is not possible without struggle. For those who the audience sees on stage, remembers, this field is very fruitful.

The politics of our country is not stable, because of that the music sector is also affected like other sectors. We have no choice but to accept this situation and move forward. The state cannot affect our hard work. However, the state's policy can make a lot of difference in our royalties and other financial gains. 

It is this society that has given us everything. Because we are artists, the audience has made our lives easier. The harmony and love of society is always with us. Even now there is no proper management of royalty. There is no solid system for artists like insurance, social security etc. The government needs to come up with a special policy to organize the music sector. It is necessary for the state to make a comprehensive policy by discussing with people who have studied in this field.
