According to the Russian news agency Tas, Putin congratulated Trump on his election at an event held at the Valdai International Discussion Club on Thursday. Quoting Putin's words, Tas wrote, 'I would like to use this opportunity to congratulate Trump on being elected as the American President. I have already said that we will work with a president who is trusted by the American people.'
