According to the Bangladeshi media, there were clashes with the security personnel at various places during the demonstration under the banner of 'anti-discrimination student movement'.

International media reported that at least 400,000 people took to the streets on Monday. 6 people have died during the demonstration in Dhaka on Monday. It is mentioned in the news that people came from villages to protest in the capital Dhaka. 

Inayatpur police station in Sirajganj was attacked and 13 policemen died. It is said that a group of people came and attacked the police station on Sunday afternoon. Dhaka Tribune reported that 13 policemen on duty were beaten to death. In some places, there have been clashes between workers of the ruling party Awami League and protesting students.

Awami League workers and leaders have also died in some places. In Bangladesh, students protested against reservation in government jobs. The students again took to the streets asking for justice for those who died during the protest.

The main opposition party of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), boycotted the election. The BNP had said that the rigged election was not valid. The Hasina-led government had arrested thousands of BNP activists and their opponents before the elections.
