Kathmandu Gorkhaz have included Sonu Devkota in their squad for the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket. Kathmandu Gorkhaz have stated that Sonu Devkota was included in their squad after the iconic player Natarajan Sah, who came from the Talent Hunt, was injured.

Natarajan was included in the Gorkhaz team as an 'iconic player' after excelling in the talent hunt held on Kartik 19. But Gorkhaz coach Vasant Shahi said that he was injured during practice. According to Shahi, Natarajan has strained his left leg muscle and will not be able to play for at least two weeks.

Gorkhaz had placed 5 players in the development team from the talent hunt. Sonu Devkota, who was in the same team, has replaced Natarajan in the Gorkhaz team. Leg-spin all-rounder Sonu has already played in the national tournament for Bagmati Province.
