Gujarat Titans finished second in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Gujarat defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 runs in Ahmedabad on Friday. Gujarat has collected 14 points from 10 matches. First placed Mumbai Indians have 11 points and Royal Challengers Bangalore also have 14 points from 10 matches.

Sai Sudarshan scored 48 off 23 balls with 9 fours, Shuvaman Gill scored 76 off 38 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes, Jos Buttler scored 64 off 37 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes and Washington Sundar scored 21 runs off 16 balls. Jaydev Unkad of Hyderabad took 3 wickets. 

opener Abhishek Sharma scored 74 runs in 41 balls with 4 fours and 6 sixes, but Hyderabad lost 6 wickets and scored only 186 runs. Gujarat's Mohammad Siraj and famous Krishna took 2 wickets each. After the defeat, last year's runners-up Hyderabad's chances of reaching the playoffs are almost over. This is Hyderabad's seventh defeat.
