RCB win in Chennai after 17 years

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has become the first team to win two consecutive matches in the Indian Premier League this season. RCB beat Chennai Super Kings by 50 runs at the same ground on Friday. RCB won against Chennai for the first time since 2008 at their home ground.

RCB, who have never won the title in the previous 17 editions of IPL, defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 wickets in the first match. RCB will now face Gujarat Titans for the first time on Wednesday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

After losing the toss, RCB, invited to bat, scored 196 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. RCB became the first team to defend below 200 runs this season and stopped Chennai with a score of 146-8.

Yash Dayal almost ended Chennai's hopes of a return to the game by dismissing Ravindra and 'Impact Player' Shivam Duve in the 12th over. Dubey scored 19 runs in 15 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. 

Ravindra Jadeja scored 25 runs off 19 balls with 2 fours and 1 six and Ashwin scored 11 runs.
