Nepal Premier League (NPL) player auction will be held on Sunday. 142 players will participate in it. According to the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN), a total of 426 players have registered their names, and the NPL preparation committee has selected 142 players for the auction.
The biggest tournament of Nepali franchise cricket is being held at the Trivi Cricket Ground in Kirtipur from November 15. CAN opened for player registration from October 5 to 12. There are 27 players in grade 'A', 38 in grade 'B' and 77 in grade 'C' for the auction. A total of 8 teams will participate in the competition.
Can has already made public the names of the promoters of those teams. Participating teams are Sudurpaschim Royals, Kathmandu Gurkhas, Chitwan Rhinos, Biratnagar Kings, Janakpur Bolts, Lumbini Lions, Pokhara Avengers and Karnali Yaks. All these teams have released their logos and marquee players.
