UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has claimed that there is a conspiracy to split the democratic forces. He said on the occasion of Madan Bhandari's birth anniversary that even though they had difficulty uniting in the past, they immediately split.

'There may be attempts to prevent democratic forces from coming together and to split others. We have seen that they have difficulty uniting, they do not shine, and they split,' he said, 'If someone tries to interfere, we recognize them and defeat them. UML is united, strong. We have suffered setbacks in the elections but have not lost. We have fought. We have not died.'

He said this at a program organized in Kathmandu on Sunday to mark Madan Bhandari's 75th birth anniversary.
