Ruling party Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Ravi Lamichhane, who is on a visit to India, has met with Indian Home Minister Amit Shah. President Lamichhane met with Home Minister Shah in New Delhi on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Home Minister Shah congratulated Lamichhane on the victory of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in the general elections on March 21. He also conveyed the best wishes of the Indian government for the success of the new government, Shah's secretariat said.

During the meeting, both sides expressed their firm commitment to work together to further strengthen the special relations between India and Nepal, Shah's secretariat told X.

President Lamichhane, along with some party leaders, left for New Delhi on Monday afternoon on a five-day visit. Lamichhane is on a visit to India at the invitation of Nitin Naveen, the national president of India's ruling BJP.

They met with the top leadership of the Indian ruling party BJP on Tuesday. Today President Lamichhane met with top leaders including BJP national president Naveen at the BJP headquarters. Both leaders discussed the growing role of Gen-G in politics . They also discussed the role of Gen-G in democratic participation and future leadership.  President Lamichhane also met with Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar  . Development partnership and citizen-citizen relations were discussed during the meeting, Foreign Minister Jayashkar told X. 

The visiting team includes party leader Lamichhane's wife Nikita Poudel, Joint General Secretary Bipin Acharya, Secretariat member Deepak Bohara and Personal Secretary Pradeep Acharya.
