Engineer Shriram Neupane, who was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Tanahun-2, was born on 21 Ashad 2026 in Sepabagaincha, Bhanu Municipality-5, Tanahun. He currently lives temporarily in Kathmandu. He has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Pulchowk Engineering Campus and a master's degree in water resources engineering.
He was active in politics since his student days. In 2044, he represented the Nepal Students' Union and represented the Independent Students' Union. Along with this, he served as the joint secretary of the Nepal Students' Union for one term and the president for one term. While affiliated with the Nepali Congress, he also played an active role in the people's movement of 2046 BS and the people's movement of 2062/063 BS.
Neupane also served as the acting office chief of the Tanahun District Water Supply Office, Government of Nepal, for 9 months in 2051 BS. Then he resigned from government service and established a private engineering college (Advanced College of Engineering and Management) with his own investment. He also remained in teaching and management.
Neupane joined the National Independent Party on Falgun 14, 2079 BS. He was the coordinator of the election mobilization committee in the by-election of Tanahun-1. He has taught in engineering education for 14 years and worked in the hydropower and tunneling sectors for 14 years. He was honored with the Prabal Janasevshree Medal by President Bidya Devi Bhandari in 2078 BS.
Neupane was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Tanahun-2 from the Rashtriya Swatantra Party in 2082 BS. He received 32,687 votes, while the Nepali Congress candidate Shankar Bhandari, who was following him, received 14,135 votes.
