Mahesh Basnet received the most votes among the nine secretaries elected at the 11th general convention of the UML.
According to the final results, Basnet received 1544 votes. Similarly, Padmakumari Aryal (1530) is in second place. Chhabilal Bishwakarma received 1506 votes, Sherdhan Rai received 1503 votes, Hikmat Kumar Karki received 1337 votes, Khagaraj Adhikari received 1231 votes, Yamalal Kandel received 1185 votes, and Rajan Bhattarai (1181 votes) were elected as secretary. Bhanubhakta Dhakal was also elected as secretary with 1108 votes.
KP Sharma Oli has been elected as the chairman for the third time. Oli received 1,663 votes, while another candidate for chairman, Ishwor Pokharel, received 564 votes.
