Should we say 'good for us' or 'good for us'?

Should we say 'good for us' or 'good for us'?

What you should know

A healthy person with a balanced mood usually looks after his own benefit. This also applies to the fact that many people dislike selfish people and like social workers. If you leave others alone, if you meditate deeply, this also applies to saying/believing that there is a God or showing devotion.

Whether someone's thoughts, actions/talks actually benefit someone or not is something that will be known later, but everyone feels that they benefit in the present. Here, 'benefit' is not just money - it means relationships, happiness, feeling good, asking others to think well of you, asking for someone's well-being, or having some kind of hope, etc. Just like the saying goes that leaves do not move without the wind, whatever they do here, they do it only for their own benefit or thinking that it will benefit them. If they think that there is no benefit, then this is also the reason why relatives, friends, and neighbors stay away, the scriptures also say the same.

People only give importance to others until their own work is done. What is the point of a boat after crossing a river? This world ignores everyone after its work is done. The saying 'All the boats are mine, all the boats are teddy' is definitely not popular. One hand doesn't clap, where does the music of life play?

People come with a wish/desire at birth. That is why people continue to look for their own benefits as long as they live. This is also reflected when we wish for ourselves or our close ones to live in heaven after death. In fact, this quality in us is what has made us like this. To be honest, if there is a wish, there is life, there is hope and many other things. Seeing some benefit is also proof that we are healthy. Because such benefit is the realm of parapsychology and psycho-spirituality. Saints and great souls who have renounced the entire world keep the desire for salvation and the divine alive, therefore a person who does not have any hope, does not see any benefit or says that he does not want anything is either mentally ill or a hypocrite. Even if you do something selflessly, you may not see any direct benefit, but you will definitely get the indirect benefit of peace of mind/happiness.

Someone does something selflessly or for the benefit of others – such as social service, religious programs, health camps, free food or services, cleaning public places, helping, etc. It will benefit him indirectly. To be honest, many wise people, organizations, businessmen, politicians, and religious leaders understand this and instead of doing any work with profit as their first priority, they are indirectly benefiting a lot by showing social service, which the common man does not understand.

All the turmoil in this world is due to selfishness. Peace can only be maintained in a family as long as each other benefits in different ways, otherwise there may be a situation of quarrels, unrest, hostility, and killing. While looking at your own benefit, you should also take care of others equally, that is, you should keep your benefit in balance like a bicycle, otherwise an accident will occur. Just as we happily accept when a businessman makes 10-15 percent profit, similarly, there is no alternative to accepting the activities taking place in every sector of society.

The Gen-G protests of Bhadra 23 and 24 caused turmoil in the country. And, it received international attention. That too can be considered an incident that occurred for the sake of balancing interests or due to a broken wheel of a bicycle. When politicians only look at their own benefit, the country has had to face many people's movements from history to the present. The saying that greed leads to profit, lamentation leads to profit is being fulfilled many times in our lives.

Nepo Baby is a short form of nepotism, which promotes nepotism and favoritism. The practice of giving special priority, opportunities and benefits to oneself or one's close ones, and of considering 'ours' better than 'the good', is also a product of selfishness.

Even if we look at the content posted on social media today, it is clear that everyone has their own agenda and is playing dumb accordingly. Many are still misleading the society with fake identities. Many houses and personal properties were vandalized, looted and set on fire during the Gen-G movement because leaders of various political parties and government employees earned immense wealth through corruption while holding positions of profit. It can be said that this balance of interests has also been disrupted. The saying that doing too much is harmful, becoming poison, and doing too much too late has once again come true before us. If powerful or famous people/institutions in any position of profit had also enriched the country, perhaps we would not have developed a saying like ‘being rich is a sin’. In any society, when leaders, employees, businessmen, religious leaders start becoming selfish, resentment starts growing among the common people and various explosions start taking place. The reason for the explosion should be considered to be an attempt to achieve balance.

When poverty, corruption, nepotism, and unrest start to flourish in the country, and conflicts of interest begin. The popular uprisings, movements, and instability that occur at different intervals are the result of this, which restore balance in the society and establish peace, even if only for a while, and move the country forward.

Desires and needs are natural in human life. However, when these elements become unbalanced and people move forward by violating the rights of others until they get what they want, greed and selfishness are born, which are dangerous and harmful to society. It is also people who build temples, churches, monasteries, gurudwaras, mosques, and those who go there and pray/worship with a pure heart and make people devotees/visionaries/disciples/followers by showing greed that their desires will be fulfilled. If we look deeper, those who ask God for something for themselves are also beggars. Beggars sit outside and beg for money, devotees go inside and ask for various things. In this way, people are practicing becoming more selfish, greedy and hypocritical in practice.

The desire for wealth, power, comfort and respect in people never ends. If a businessman starts selling adulterated goods out of greed to earn more profits, the health of the customer is compromised, creating a crisis of trust in society. People ignore the pain or needs of others due to their habit of thinking only about their own benefit. Just as peace at home is necessary for the happiness and prosperity of the family, the same rule applies for the prosperity of the country. Therefore, it is wise to transform our natural desires and longings into willpower and not allow them to develop into greed, avarice, and selfishness.
