An open letter to Comrade Oli

The people are republicans, the people are determined to abolish the king of any form, but you pushed the earth path in such a way that even the monarchists bowed down, it seemed to them that they had returned to their own days.

An open letter to Comrade Oli

Sorry Comrade Oli, I am addressing you as 'comrade' even though I know that you are the Prime Minister of the country. I really like the equality and democracy inherent in the Comrade address.

Now Comrade's address has become more relevant because you yourself have stood up to establish the importance of democracy in comparison to 'Prithwipath'. This is also a victory for democracy.

You are reluctant to express your thoughts in confusing language. Addressing the convention of the Council of Intellectuals in Kathmandu on May 17, in your well-known style, you said - If you go by Prithvipath, you can only reach Pokhara. Prithvi Narayan Shah said that he had killed others besides himself. He argued that two and a half hundred years ago, 'unification' was forced through trade. You promoted democracy by rejecting the guiding principle of the monarchists in the movement, 'Prithwipath'. You spoke not only of beauty this time, but of 'daring'.

Whether you take this risk rashly or thoughtfully, you yourself are the witness of it. Time will show its meaning one day. However, thank you for announcing that the debate should be brought back on the right track from the point where our debate took a retrograde path. Bringing a king is definitely not like picking a monkey from the forest. There are some people who think that the rubbish of politics will be thrown away in such absurd reasoning. It is their sorrow. Twenty-five hundred years ago, the Buddha said that there is a cause of suffering. Therefore, there must be a reason for the pain of the monarchists. You, the leaders of the Republic, are the creators of this misery.

You're right, Prithvipath is like a cavalry charge in the age of fighter jets. Technically comparable. However, conceptually, things are a bit different. Every ideology has a country-period. In other words, ideology becomes the purpose of the people of a particular place at a particular time. The state also has an ideology, so the idea of technical state power without ideology is a white lie. Political parties also have ideologies, so the issue of technology parties without ideology is just a story of Gulio Titekerela.

Even UM should not keep saying that it has an ideology, the name is enough. Prithvipath, which you are criticizing today, was used as an extension of UML's ideology or not? Did you yourself do pitching on Prithvipath in Kubela or not? These questions are pressing today. These questions are not meant to criticize you. As I know very well, criticism also has its rules. Just as a river can lead to destruction when it crosses the danger level, similarly criticism, if it crosses the danger level, creates idolatry in the society.

Now the situation is the same. Suddenly, politics has turned towards many irrelevant things like monarchy. Goretto is on one side, we are pushed towards the bush. On the one hand, there are issues to be debated, we are stuck on the sidelines. Putting the issues to be resolved to one side, we are announcing the end of contemplation. We don't know why we panic. There is no rush to get there. However, we are in a hurry to put all our thoughts in the same pit of Atyas.

Let me repeat once again – a state has its own contemporary ideology, hence its storylines. What matters most is how we think about our country. Prithvipath is a plot created for that. However, this plot was created with the implicit intention of institutionalizing the power of the Shah dynasty after the end of the Rana rule. Even if they try to do politics in the present by clearing the earth, its root is in the past. That is why we call the history taught to us not history, but a commentary on history. Commentaries like nationalism, national unity, integration are part of that plot.

Similarly, the Republic also has its own storyline. By changing the structure and governance of the state, the plot of the republic would not have been created, even now it has not been created. The character and ideology of the state is yet to be changed. The struggle of the republic tried to create a plot of the people by breaking all the commentaries of the shah dynasty power. This struggle is still ongoing. However, did you who took the reins of the republic contribute to this struggle or did you follow the path of 'Earth Path'? Today, when the ferocity of royalism is raging in all corners of the world, this question has come to your attention.

Remember, who made Jagman Gurung sit in the Pragya Pratishthan of the Republic? Would it be possible to give the society a new vision of wisdom that has lost wisdom? And not in the same Pragya Institute, the Prithvipath ditch was built in the name of celebrating National Unity Day? When the entire country was engaged in the most difficult struggle to change the character of the state from the point of view of public interest, who was doing the work of awakening Panchayati Pichas in Pragya Pratishthan? Who was the 'knowledgeable' Bhupu Jharnal who threw a shoe at an inquisitor who raised a simple question at a ritual held there? Was the polish of the feudal arrogance of the Earth Path era reflected in that shoe thrown by the journalist or the camaraderie of the republican debate?

You say Manasib, Prithvi Narayan Shah built his pillar of power by killing others. Prithvi Narayan himself had declared that he had created a 'Gorkha empire' by killing others. All the red seals, government documents, and letters written to inform the Mughal Empire all mention this. Yes, he definitely recorded that he won Nepal. Kirant, Limbuwan must write the missing things. But he never said that he would do any 'unification', nor did he mention/indicate anywhere that he did unification. In fact, the story of unification has not been made up much.

Having been in politics since the Panchayat period, you must know that there is no official picture of Prithvi Narayan. No photographs were taken, no portraits were made and kept. The picture of Prithvi Narayan shown to us is a fanciful picture made by an immortal artist at the behest of Mahendra. His finger was fingered in the picture to suit the integration plot. In reality, many people did not know about Prithvi Narayan until the Panchayat system was started. With the aim of institutionalizing the Shah dynasty rule, Mahendra launched a mission to celebrate Prithvi Jayanti and spread the story of unification to every household. It was a plot designed for monarchical rule.

Then what did you do to make the plot of the Republic? The culture of the republic was formed by letting the servants of the Shah dynasty to run in Pragya Pratishthan? The politics of the republic was formed by giving birth to Ram in Thori? Bara Madhav Ghimire was such a great poet, Panchayat hung the title of national poet around his neck and imprisoned such a good poet inside the palace walls. You did not allow him to become a poet even in the Republic, you took the same ancient title from Curio and once again nailed it in the name of charioteer.

After reaching Pokhara by walking on the Prithvipath, you are saying today - you are only reaching Pokhara from the Prithvipath! And what do people say to you without saying 'no not again'? By jamming the public in the streets, the President is made to ride in horse-riding processions and carriage rides. People's representatives train their elected leaders in the feudal rite of Pirke Salami. Let's say you give a message day and night - you see, the leader is the king in the republic! And what do the people say that we don't need so many kings?

Think about it, the people are republicans. The people are determined to reject any kind of king. Instead, you pushed the earth path so much that even the royalists bowed down. It felt like they were back in their day. They have a repressed desire that the people can be made raiti again, they can once again run a single government by imposing autocracy, once again they can throw a blanket over the poor/oppressed people and start a new era.

Comrade Oli, politics has lost its way since the day you started to put the ideological crown of monarchy on the head of the republic. As we remember well, you were considered popular back then. That same popularity of yours has led promising authors to write book after book promoting Prithvipath. You woke up 'after reaching Pokhara', how much better will their awakening be? If you take your eyes off the roofs of the palaces and look at your hometown Damak, the story of the real republic would start from there. Farmers, laborers, entrepreneurs/traders struggling with farms, tribals/tribes who are about to raise their heads, Madheshis without citizenship, Dalits/squatters struggling to stand up against oppression, conscious women, who are not in Damak?

Damak has a glimpse of the entire country. There is also the real face of the republic. The history, philosophy, culture, everything of the republic can be seen from the mouth of the people. From there, the plot of the republic also rises and moves forward. There are many brains to be shaken, just as you 'reach the pond'. Whether the debate is in Parliament or on the streets, in meetings or in seminars, if it does not return to life, it is only a slog of opportunism.

Let's hope, you will play a role in reawakening politics from the people while you are in leadership. Those who once sang the hymns of your popularity are now swooning over your unpopularity. This is where your awakening can make sense.
