The Election Commission has stated that arrangements have been made for the 90,000 ballot boxes required for the House of Representatives elections to be held on March 21.

The ballot boxes required for the polling stations in Kathmandu and Lalitpur have been kept at the central office of the commission. Since there was no space to store them in the election offices of both districts, they were kept at the central office. In Chitwan, 2,500 ballot boxes were sent from the central office of the commission as ballot boxes were burned during the Gen-G movement on Bhadra 24, said Prakash Neupane, head of the administration branch and assistant spokesperson.

In Bhaktapur, the district election office has kept the ballot boxes, so arrangements have been made to send them to the polling stations from there. He said that arrangements have been made to send the ballot boxes from the stock of ballot boxes sent in 2079 BS to the other 74 districts. The commission has stated that there are 967 polling stations and 23,112 polling stations for this election.
