Nine members of two families from Takura, Siddhakumakh Rural Municipality-2, Salyan, died when a gas cylinder exploded along with the fire.

The incident took place on Sunday in a place called Arki in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, India. A fire broke out in the shop while they were sleeping at night and the cylinder in the shop exploded. Dhan Bahadur BK, 33, his wife Kavita BK, 32, daughters Radha BK, Renuka BK, son Rajan BK and Kashiram BK, 47, Tika BK, 32, Anu BK, 12, and Kiran BK, 7, died in the incident, said a relative, Prem BK.

He said that the family of Dhan Bahadur BK and Kashiram BK were living in the room above the shop and the fire broke out on the night of the 27th when they returned from work and went to sleep. According to him, the bodies of all those who died when the cylinder exploded are in a state of disfigurement and are beyond recognition.
