'I remember those tragic days three months ago. When the country was burning like a battlefield. It was being burned by terrorists. When the constitution, democracy and its foundation, political parties, were under a fierce attack,' Oli said, 'There was an attempt to create a narrative, the old parties are gone, the days of the old leaders are gone and the relevance of the UML has ended. Such a narrative was tried to be created.'
Chairman Oli said that despite the attacks against the party, the party's leaders, cadres, well-wishers and the people are with the UML. 'This ocean of people has descended, cutting through every attack of smoke, ash and prohibition. I can confidently say that democracy is invincible, CPN-UML is invincible,' he said. Oli said that UML is a patriotic party dedicated to the welfare of the people and that the people should form a national force.
Gen-G demonstrations were held on Bhadra 23 and 24. At that time, UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli was the Prime Minister. Oli had to resign on Bhadra 24 when there was destruction across the country, including Kathmandu. Oli recalled those days at the general convention.
