Anticipating a possible clash, the security personnel surrounded the protesting Zen-G youths and took them to the roadside, while the road seemed empty. The Youth Association activists who had been welcoming Basnet with a motorcycle attack the Zen-Gs. An eyewitness said that the Youth Association activists attacked the Zen-Gs after breaking through the security perimeter. According to a police source, the Zen-Gs were chased by the Youth Association activists, who were beating them up. Sarita Joshi and others from the Zen-G group were injured in the process.
