During the Gen-G movement on 23 Bhadra and the protests the following day, 76 people lost their lives. 2,571 people were injured during that time.

The treatment of 13 injured people is still ongoing in hospitals across the country. Of these, 11 are undergoing treatment in various hospitals in Kathmandu. The government has already distributed Rs 79.5 million as relief to the families of 53 of the deceased. In addition, the government had given Rs 20,000 to each injured person to avoid any problems in the treatment of the injured. According to the Ministry of Health, a total of 2,571 injured people had come to the hospital for treatment. The government has already released Rs 4.8 million for their medical expenses. The Ministry of Health and Population estimates that more than Rs 1 billion will be spent on the treatment of the injured. However, the details of the expenses have not been confirmed as the bills have yet to be received from the hospitals where the injured were treated, said Prakash Budhathoki, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health. He said, 'The hospitals where the most injured were treated are still undergoing treatment, so a lump sum expense report has not been released.'

According to him, it will take time to get the final details of the expenses as some of the discharged injured will be re-admitted to the hospital for further treatment. The government has also announced that it will operate a separate clinic for the treatment of the injured. Related news Relief to the families of 53 deceased
