The injured who were rescued from Gajurmukhi are being taken to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan via land route from Itahari.
Two seriously injured people were airlifted due to a landslide in Mangsebung Rural Municipality-1, Gajurmukhi in Ilam.
A helicopter operating from the Itahari base of the Nepali Army rescued a pregnant woman and a man, said Rajaram Basnet, spokesperson of the Nepali Army. "The helicopter that brought the seriously injured could not land in Dharan and Biratnagar, then we landed in Itahari," he said to Kantipur, "We are taking it by land from Itahari to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan."
23 people have died in last night's landslide in Ilam. helicopters were deployed by the Nepali Army to be operated immediately in case of disaster. Ministry of Home Affairs also coordinated with private service providers and kept more helicopters on standby.
