The shoes bought by the money earned by a young man who risked his life and joined the Russian army due to unemployment in the country have now become an 'icon' of the Gen-G movement in Nepal.

It has been two weeks since the change of power with the power of Gen-G movement, but many scenes of that movement are still circulating on social media. The most talked about and interesting scene is the white shoe covered in blood. There is a lot of speculation on social media about this shoe, which has become an icon of the Zen-G rebellion.
After all, whose shoes were these? Whose bloody foot did this shoe come off? While searching in Kantipur, it was found that this shoe belongs to 28-year-old Prakash Bohra. Prakash, who has a permanent home in Dailekh, Narayan municipality-8, is currently undergoing treatment at the trauma center.
On the first day of the movement, Prakash reached Maitighar with his friends around 11 am on 23 August. He rushed towards Baneshwar shouting the voice of his generation. Even when the police fired tear gas, they did not care, they reached the wall of the parliament building. Some protesters had already started tearing down the wall outside the parliament building.
'There, while I was pulling the iron bar, I got shot in my left leg. I fell in love," said Prakash, who was in the hospital bed. His brother-in-law Biplav Thapa, who had accompanied him, was shooting a video. Prakash's white shoes are clearly visible in the video. After he was shot, it is seen in the video that the protestors dispersed.
Prakash remembers his leg bleeding after being shot and being carried to an ambulance by his friends. "My legs were shaking. I heard someone tell them to take off their shoes when they put them in the ambulance. I also remember that someone took off the shoes from my feet," he said. "After that, I was brought here (trauma center). After coming here, the health workers have opened the shoes of the right foot. He was operated on his foot at the trauma center. While undergoing treatment in the ICU, Prakash heard that a photo of someone's bloody shoes had gone viral. But he did not know that it was his own. On the ninth day after the movement, Biplav said, 'Brother, your shoes are completely viral.'
At first, he took it for granted. Two days later, he asked the nurses in the ICU for a mobile phone and looked at the viral photo. He said, "After that, I was sure that it was my shoe." With that shoe, I came back to the memory of the movement.'
After Prakash narrated the details, Kantipur found out about his right shoe in the hospital's emergency room. The sanitation worker working in the emergency said that the right shoe on his foot was opened in the hospital and because it did not have a pair, it was thrown away during waste disposal.

The story of this shoe is not limited to this. Prakash's troubled past is also linked to this. After passing Health Assistant (HA) in 2073, Prakash was preparing for the Public Service Commission examination. After that he worked on various projects for some time.
He also worked in the health service branch of Dailekh prison for some time. Prakash was panicking as the household expenses could not be sustained depending on the income from the small grocery shop and general farming. A loan was incurred while building a house destroyed by an earthquake. As the debt piled up, he tried various options, many of which failed. The Russia-Ukraine war broke out while he was growing up. On the advice of his friends, he decided to join the Russian army.
Two years ago, Prakash joined the Russian army and fought against Ukraine. In this way, it has been confirmed that about 73 Nepalis who were recruited into the Russian army have died. The DNA report of 50 people is yet to come. 8 are hostages in Ukraine, many are injured and out of touch. But by chance, Prakash was able to return safely to Nepal five months ago.
During the battle, he reached Donetsk in Ukraine and said, 'My friends who trained with me were killed. I came back alive. But for the sake of my country, I got shot while walking down the road. He bought a bike from the earnings of the Russian army. On his way back home, he also bought two pairs of shoes on sale at a shop in Nepalgunj. There was an emphasis on it – the now viral white shoes. He bought those Samba brand shoes for 1500 rupees.
After buying the shoes, Prakash sent his wife Radhika Khadka Bohra a photo through WhatsApp. A look at the archive of the same WhatsApp confirms that it was his shoe. Opening the archive, he said, 'I bought it on May 8 (25 Baisakh).'
Before buying the shoes, Prakash also asked his wife Radhika. He said he really liked it, I said not to buy it. He hadn't worn that white much. Maybe because I bought it with a lot of hard work, if I wear it for a day, I would wash it and keep it," she said.
After returning from the Russian army, Prakash was planning to join the Qatar police. For that, he came to Kathmandu two months ago to start the process. But his heart was not fixed. He was also restless like the common youth due to unemployment in the country and having to risk his life to work abroad. One day Prakash said to his mother about something, 'Mummy, I am very worried. No matter who he was, he would have become a country.''The mother shed tears after hearing her son's words.
In the meantime, Prakash got the news that restless youths like him would take to the streets. I decided to go too. At least I went to the movement so that my younger generation does not have to go through the same situation as it is now.'
That morning, while wearing a white hat, white 'windcheater' and white shoes to go to the movement, a doubt came to Prakash's mind.
Prakash did not know father, mother, wife who went to movement. Radhika said, 'Neighbors have seen it in the news. His name was also on the list of injured. After the news of the shooting, there was a lot of crying. Mother Nanda said that when she heard the news that her son had been shot, it was like falling from a cliff. He said he will come on Wednesday for Dasain. But I had to hear such news two days ago,' she said, wiping tears from her eyes.
Prakash's mother and Radhika along with her 16-month-old son are now in the hospital. All they care about is when Prakash is safe and can take them home. Mother Nanda said, "The doctor has said that we should stay here for a long time." But for how long!'
National Trauma Center Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. According to Badri Rizal, Prakash's health is improving. He has a bullet in his left thigh. The pills have a profound effect on the blood vessels and nerves. We are continuing the treatment,' he said, 'More operations will be required as the bones are also affected.' Instead, he said that he was hoping for a change. "Let the government formed by the bullet taken by Jen-ji give relief to the families of the deceased and the injured." End corruption, maintain good governance,'' is his wish.
