Laxman Paswan, who was arrested on charges of murdering 30-year-old Rubikumari Sah of Madhavnarayan Municipality-6 Madhopur, Rautahat, died on Wednesday evening. Lakshman tried to commit suicide and set his body on fire. The police informed that he died during treatment at the burn hospital in Kirtipur.

Paswan, who fled from Madhopur after killing Ruby, was found in Madhopur village in the morning trying to commit suicide. He was immediately taken to a local hospital. District Police Office Gaur has confirmed that Paswan, who was seriously injured with burns on his face and other parts of his body, died at Kirtipur Warn Hospital during treatment.

At around 10 o'clock in the same night, locals informed the police after seeing an abandoned suitcase on the road of Gaur municipality-9 Mudwalgate under Gaur-Sirsia road section. Ruby's body was found in the morning. After Ruby's murder, Paswan switched off his mobile phone and hid in India and around the house.
Paswan made a 9-minute video before setting himself on fire. In the video, he said that his hands were shaking ever since he killed Ruby. Accepting Ruby's murder, he said in the video, 'My soul is dead. What will I do if I live? If you get caught, you have to go to jail. 10/15 years should be served. I am ready to be punished.' Laxman said that he had a deep love for Ruby since his school days. He told the police that he strangled Ruby.
