National Independent Party MP Sobita Gautam has said that the work of the Election Commission is not to evaluate political parties. Gautam also says that the Election Commission has tried to trample the constitution and laws by introducing the political party self-evaluation procedure.
After attending a meeting of political parties other than Congress and UML called by the leader of the main opposition party and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday, MP Gautam said that the Election Commission is conspiring to trouble new and small parties.
Gautam said that the Election Commission is going to violate the constitution and laws by trying to control other than two political parties in the name of self-evaluation procedure. It seems that the Election Commission is trying to control the parties under the guise of the Political Party Self-Assessment Procedure, 2082.
