About 200 megawatts of electricity generation stopped due to Bhotekoshi flood

About 200 megawatts of electricity production has been stopped due to the floods in Rasuwa. Director Rajan Dhakal, who is also the spokesperson, informed that the flood has caused great damage to the Nepal Electricity Authority and the projects under it.

According to Spokesman Dhakal, the flood has damaged Rasuwagadhi hydropower project, Chilime, Trishuli 3'A' and Trishuli 3'B'. Spokesperson Dhakal said that the headworks of the 111 MW Rasuwagadhi hydropower project has been damaged. 'Water has penetrated the tailrace of Chilime . It will clear in two or three days. Similarly, three headworks of Trishuli 3 'A' have been washed away,' he said.

Similarly, Trishuli 3 'B' hub substation has also been closed after flooding, the authority said. Chilime 22MW, Trishuli 3 'A' 60MW and Trishuli 3B 37MW projects. 

The flood that came to Bhotekoshi in Rasuwagadhi through Tibet on Tuesday has caused great damage to physical structures. The Miteri bridge connecting Nepal-China has been completely washed away and the vehicles kept in the customs yard have also been washed away .

Similarly, Rasuwa Assistant Chief District Officer Dhruv Prasad Adhikari informed that 18 people are without contact due to the flood. Those without contact include 3 policemen, 6 Chinese citizens and 9 Nepalis working in the customs yard.
