The government has reduced the budget for the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security. Compared to the current financial year, the budget for the next financial year 2082/83 has been reduced by almost half.

In the budget of the financial year 2082/83 presented by the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel at the joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament, it is mentioned that four billion 28 million rupees have been allocated for the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security. He also said that one billion rupees have been allocated for all types of social security allowances. 

8 billion 10 million rupees was allocated for the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security in the current year. The Ministry's budget for the coming year is almost half that is 47.16 percent less. 

Minister Paudel said that to solve the unemployment problem in a sustainable way, the efficiency of the young manpower will be increased according to the demand of the labor market. 

In the budget allocated for the coming year, one billion 9990 million rupees have been allocated for the operation of the National Employment Promotion Program. It is mentioned that he will operate a job portal in the budget and a job fair conference will be organized in all provinces. 

According to him, labor destinations will be diversified and bilateral labor agreements will be made with more countries through labor diplomacy. Additional agreements will be made with the destination countries to ensure the safety and service facilities of the women who go for foreign employment. To promote self-employment and increase production by using the skills, capital and technology of the manpower returned from foreign employment, the entrepreneur program will be conducted by workers. Minister Poudel mentioned that concessional loans will be arranged for this.  In the

budget, it is mentioned that the national identity card will be made mandatory to implement the social security program. Finance Minister Paudel said that an integrated reporting system of social security facilities will be developed. He mentioned that national identity card will be gradually made mandatory for social security services. It is mentioned in the budget that letters will be provided to senior citizens, disabled and disabled people through mobile teams. 

Likewise, it is not allowed to add funds from the state and local levels to social security programs run by the federal government and provide double benefits through programs of the same nature. To supply the skilled manpower required for the industry  Technical and vocational training will be conducted in coordination with universities, technical schools and vocational training centers.

The technical and professional skill development training of less than six months will be conducted by the National Vocational Training Institute and the provincial level.
