The Auditor General's Office has submitted its annual report to President Ramchandra Paudel. Auditor General Toyam Raya submitted the annual report at Sheetal Niwas. During the submission of the report, Raya said that the 62nd report of the Auditor General has been submitted to the President in accordance with Article 294 of the Constitution of Nepal.

Raya informed that the audit was done keeping in mind the international best practices. 5 thousand 759 agencies and offices were audited. Of these, 3,702 offices were audited in detail. During that period, auditors were appointed according to the manpower of the office and according to the law, and informed that the audit of 45 financial years of 43 fully government-owned organizations was completed .

It was mentioned that the audit of 47 financial years of 42 organized organizations was completed within the scope of Nepal's constitution and audit authority. In that year, he also informed that 11 operational, 1 information technology, 1 environmental and 2 audits were completed.

Raya informed that separate reports have been prepared regarding the work of the province and such reports have been submitted to the provincial heads.

He said, 'After the completion of the audit, it has reached the stage of issuing a report to the relevant local level. In the annual report, the details of the audited entities, the status of the audit, the summary of the details observed during the audit, the status of the implementation of the audit report, the future improvements and the activities of the office are kept in separate paragraphs. A summary of the annual report will be prepared and made public to inform the stakeholders about the activities of the public body.

In that year, when 5 thousand 759 offices were audited, 94 trillion 62 billion 36 million were audited. Out of that, 31 trillion 6 billion 16 million were audited for 3 thousand 93 offices of federal ministries and agencies, 3 trillion 8 billion 56 million of 1 thousand 165 offices for provinces and agencies, 11 trillion 18 billion 40 million of 761 offices for local level, 5 trillion 22 billion 13 billion for 695 organizations for committees and other organizations (including 125 of the provinces) and 44 trillion 7 billion 4 million for 43 organizations were audited.

Presenting the financial situation of the financial year 2080/81, Raya informed that a total of 91.59 billion 88 million was saved from the audit that year . It was mentioned that 47.74 billion 30 million were allocated to federal government offices, 4.2 billion to provincial government offices, 25.32 billion to local level and 14.33 billion to other organizations.

Raya also informed that a separate report has been prepared regarding the activities of the province in accordance with Article 294 of the Constitution.

In the 62nd report of the Auditor General, the total update indicated by the audit towards federal government offices, state government offices and local levels was 7 trillion 33 billion 19 billion. It was mentioned that 3 trillion 75 billion 47 crores of federal government offices, 2 trillion 9 billion 29 crores of local level and 1 trillion 17 billion 97 crores of committees and other organizations were found.

In addition to the federal and state government offices, local levels, committees and other organizations, the amount to be settled for additional actions — such as audit arrears, revenue arrears, foreign grants and loans to be received — the updated amount to be settled on time was 5 trillion 51 billion 1 crore.

In that year, 28 billion 294 million was tested and a total of 14 billion 684 million was recovered from the audit.
