Commissioner of National Human Rights Commission Leeli Thapa has said that Nepal's economy, which has stalled after the Covid epidemic, is being sustained by women.
Speaking at the fifth edition of 'Nirvik Nari' organized by Nari Magazine, a co-publication of Kantipur Publications, she exposed the data of the World Bank.
Speaking on the data, she said that 45 percent of the economy is financed by small businesses (small micro-entrepreneurs). She said, 'The contribution of women to uplift the economy of Nepal, which was stalled during the covid epidemic from 2019 to 2021, is that the economy moved forward through small businesses.
She said that if women can overcome challenges and obstacles and move forward, they can establish the community as a bridge to move forward
