Class 12 exam from today

Class 12 exams are being conducted from Sunday in examination centers across the country. According to the National Examination Board, 5 lakh 11 thousand 525 examinees will participate in the examination. 3 lakh 95 thousand 908 regular and 1 lakh 15 thousand 617 partial students are participating in the exam.

 

According to the Board, 1,591 exam centers have been designated for the students of 5,202 schools to conduct the Class 12 exam. Out of which 38 students from Everest School in Japan will participate in the exam from the same center.

Among the 77 districts, the least number of examinees are 45 from Manang and the most from Kathmandu is 68,133. According to the board, 1 each in Manang and Mustang and the highest number of 162 examination centers in Kathmandu. 

48 thousand 209 people will be employed in the exam which will be conducted till May 2. The Kathmandu-centered street movement along with the educational strike of the Nepal Teachers' Federation has pushed back the exam scheduled from May 11 by 10 days. Controller of Examination Krishna Prasad Sharma issued a statement and appealed to make the examination clean, dignified, disciplined, orderly and student-friendly. 

The least 38 thousand 888 candidates from Karnali province and the most 135 thousand 240 candidates from Bagmati province are participating. According to the board, 82 thousand 871 students from Koshi, 69 thousand 808 students from Madhesh, 43 thousand 349 students from Gandaki, 90 thousand 678 students from Lumbini and 50 thousand 654 students from Far West are participating in the examination.  A district examination coordination committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the chief district officer to monitor and supervise the

examination. The committee will monitor and supervise the examination. The board has prohibited the carrying of mobile phones to the examination center except for the head of the center during the examination period. Sharma said that arrangements have been made to send the question papers to the examination centers through electronic means. 

The board, which has arranged to send question papers online since the Covid epidemic, is continuing to do so. Arrangements have been made for the center president to download the question paper from the user ID, which will be available half an hour before the start of the exam. The question paper should be downloaded and printed only in the name of the head of the center, the assistant head of the center, the chief of police stationed at the center.  The

board has said that it has completed the pre-examination preparations including center selection, center president's conference, interaction with the district security agency, confidential material management, monitoring and inspection. The guidelines 2078 have provided for the publication of student results if they do not get a minimum of 35 percent marks in theory in each subject. 

The examination of SEE answer book, which was stopped due to teachers' agitation, has also started, the board said. Due to non-participation of teachers in the examination of the SEE answer book which ended on March 18, there has been a delay of almost 3 weeks. Although the board has made a schedule to release the SEE results in the first week of June, it is expected to be delayed by a few weeks.
