The Citizen App will be the premier digital tool of the government

Citizen app is going to be the main digital tool of the government. Presenting the government's policies and programs for the next financial year in the Federal Parliament today, President Ramchandra Paudel announced that 'faceless service' will be expanded to make public service delivery more effective.

According to President Paudel, all possible services will be provided through the online system. Various government and public services will be integrated in the app to facilitate access to services through the citizen app. Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Anil Kumar Dutt informed that currently 65 public services are available on the app.

President Paudel also informed that the government is going to establish a civic service center in collaboration with the local level to improve the efficiency of service delivery. Similar to India's Common Service Center (CSC), there has been talk of running a Civil Service Center in Nepal for a long time.

The government has also prepared to connect the helpline service operated for children with the citizen app . In addition, President Paudel said that there is a plan to include all government hospitals in a single online system and access to health services will also be included in the citizen app.

He said that the government plans to advance cyber security, data security and app development and strengthening in a coordinated manner. President Paudel also informed about the government's production of scientific manpower in coordination with the union, state and local levels and private educational institutions, informing that intellectual property, innovation and research will be connected with traditional knowledge and skills and community.
