The number of people killed in the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday has reached 27. The incident took place at 3 pm on Tuesday in Besaran Gwar area.

According to Dainik Bhaskar, the terrorists opened fire after being asked by the tourists there. The names of 17 people, including one Nepali, have been confirmed among the 27 people killed so far. One of them is a citizen of UAE. 

According to Dainik Bhaskar, Sudeep Neupane from Nepal died in the attack. Similarly, Bitan Adhkeri Udhwani Kumar of UAE has also died in the same attack. 

It is said that Subham Dwivedi of Uttar Pradesh was asked by name and later shot. Then they started shooting at other tourists.

The responsibility of the attack has been taken by Lashkar-e-Taiba's wing The Resistant Front or TRF. Among the dead are tourists from Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Odisha. 

Similarly, the Indian media has mentioned that there are two locals along with one Nepali and one UAE tourist. This is the biggest attack in Jammu and Kashmir since Pulwama attack in 2019. At that time 40 CRPF jawans were killed. After Pahalgam attack, high alert has been issued in other cities of India. 

Indian Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Srinagar after receiving information about the attack. It is said that Shah may go to Pahalgam today. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in Saudi Arabia, returned home on Wednesday morning. 

Other countries including America, Iran, Russia, Italy and UAE are said to be with India by condemning Pahalgam aggression.

attack, the terrorists came in army uniform. Therefore, when the soldiers arrived after the attack, they had to prove that they were Indian Army.
