According to the information given by the minister's personal secretary Manoj Dahal via telephone, a discussion was held between the minister, secretary, head of department, Chinese contractor company and consultant at a hotel in Chitwan on Friday morning.
On Thursday, Minister Dahal returned to Chitwan via Butwal for on-site monitoring of the Mahendra Highway. After being stuck in traffic for about 4 hours on their way back, they started discussing with the contractor on Friday morning.
Private Secretary Dahal has informed that the Chinese contractor has agreed to fix the road immediately and arrange the arrangement for smooth traffic by adding gravel to the lower part of the country's main highway. He said, 'The minister has instructed the contractor to work immediately so that the highway is not blocked again.'
