Parliamentary sub-committee's recommendation to immediately suspend the director of the Civil Aviation Authority, heavy rains in Humla: houses collapsed due to landslides, livestock died, the news of the High Court acquitting Bamjan from the implementation of the Act on production and sale of iodized salt after 26 years was in the news today.

Director of Nepal Civil Aviation Authority Pradeep Adhikari has been immediately suspended and the sub-committee formed by Public Accounts Committee to study Pokhara International Airport has recommended   The sub-committee chaired by MP Rajendra Lingden, who is also the chairman of RPP, has recommended action against the directors and officials with the claim that there have been irregularities since the beginning of the construction of Pokhara International Airport.

Floods and landslides have caused damage in Humla after Thursday morning rains  . Humla chief district officer Narayan Pandey informed about the rain damage in Adanchuli Rural Municipality Ward No. 2 and 3. In a conversation with Kantipur, Chief District Officer Pandey said, 'It rained a little heavily in Adanchuli-2 and 3 this morning . Preliminary information has come that some houses have also been damaged. The work of collecting details of the damage is underway.'

Janakpur High Court acquitted Ram Bahadur Bamjan, who was found guilty by the district court of child sexual abuse , saying that he could not walk because of the statute of limitations. District Court Sarlahi on June 17 last year decided that Bamjan will be sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of 500,000 for sexually abusing 10 children.

The government has implemented an act on the production and sale of iodized salt. The law made in 2055 has come into effect after 26 years. The Act came into effect after the proposal submitted by Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel was passed by the Council of Ministers meeting on May 2. 000
