Ravi Lamichhane, Chairman of Rashtriya Swatantra Party and then Managing Director of Gorkha Media Network, was produced in the Rupandehi District Court by the police and taken to the District Jail.

After being submitted to the district court and given a prison sentence, a health examination is being conducted at the district jail in Lamichhane. Jailer Suresh Bhandari said that he will be kept inside the jail after the health examination.

He was arrested in Kathmandu on Friday night and was brought to Bhairahawa on Saturday morning. After leaving for two days, he was kept in the custody of District Police Office, Rupandehi.

The police arrested Lamichhane after the High Court Tulsipur Butwal bench ordered him to be detained on Friday in the Supreme Cooperative Fraud and Organized Crime case of Butwal.
