41 people working in road construction were trapped in Mana of Chamauli in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. According to Indian media, 57 people from Border Road Organizations were trapped and 16 people have been rescued. Those who were rescued have been taken to the hospital. An avalanche occurred at Mana Pass, 52 km north of Badrinath Dham. Chamauli District Officer Sandeep Tiwari has deployed the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Army in the rescue operation. Similarly, the State Disaster Response Force and the National Disaster Response Force are also engaged in the rescue.
