Ravi Lamichhane, chairman of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) and former Home Minister, has been released. Lamichhane Kaski was released from police custody after the order of District Court Kaski.
On Thursday, the bench of Judge Nitij Rai of District Court Kaski ordered Lamichhane to be released on bail of Rs 65 lakh in the case of cooperative fraud, money laundering and organized crime.
RSVP leader Sovita Gautam informed that Lamichhane was released on Thursday evening after paying the bail set by the court. Lamichhane, who was arrested from Kathmandu on October 2, was released after 84 days of detention.
Lamichhane has been ordered to be released by the Kaski court on the condition that he appear himself for the proceedings of the cases registered in other district courts. He was given a medical examination at Gandaki Hospital in Pokhara and the police handed him over to his family.
