Former DIG and ex-operator of Gorkha Media Network Chabilal Joshi has given a statement that Ravi Lamichhane was connected to Gorkha Media before him regarding the operation of Galaxy TV.
In a statement with Judge Nitij Rai of Kaski District Court, Joshi stated that although he is the founder shareholder, Ravi Lamichhane is already connected with Gorkha Media through GB Rai and Lakshmi Paudel of Epiwan Television.
Lamichhane said during the opportunity statement that he joined Gorkha Media Network not as a shareholder but as a managing director. Joshi said in the court statement on Monday that though Lamichhane was initially tried to be made the director, he registered the company on his advice as he was busy with the construction of a hospital in Raskot, Calikot.
Lamichhane mentioned that he received appointment letter as the managing director of Gorkha Media on December 30th according to the decision of December 25, 2017. At that time, Ravi Lamichhane was busy with the construction of a hospital in Rashkot, Kalikot, so he invested 50/50 percent shares in the name of GB and me and prepared the Articles of Incorporation with a total paid-up capital of 5 million rupees and registered Gorkha Media Network Pvt. Joshi said during his statement in the court.
On 18 March 2018, after increasing the capital, 60 million rupees were paid for 50% shares of GB, 42.2 million rupees for 35% shares of Image and 18 million rupees for 15% shares of Ravi . Before Ravi Lamichhane became the director, it is mentioned in the statement of the Gorkha Media Network that the account of Gorkha Media Network was opened in the Global IME Bank on 06 November 077 by completing the KYC and signature of one of them. He repeated the statement that GB and Ravi knew all the information of 900 million 44 lakh 17 thousand 552 rupees in that account.
Judge Nitij Rai asked about image's statement regarding the charges, sentence and fine demanded by the public prosecutor's office. While answering the 15 questions asked by the judge, Zhabi said that he had no knowledge about the software hard disk found in his house. He repeated the statement he gave to the Special Committee of Parliamentary Inquiry and the Public Prosecutor and the Police Investigation Officer.

In the case registered on Sunday against 44 people including Ravi Lamichhane, Joshi has been asked to be imprisoned for 8 years to 10 years in accordance with clause (d) (6) of sub-section (1) of section 124 under the Cooperative Act, 2074 and a fine equivalent to bigo as per clause (d). ; 5 crore 26 lakh 65 thousand rupees have been demanded in the indictment for co-operative fraud. Under the Organized Crime (Prevention) Act, 2070, imprisonment up to 15 years has been demanded by adding 50 percent of the punishment. 74 crores 34 lakhs 71 thousand 55 rupees have been fixed for asset purification.
According to sub-section (1) of section 30 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2064, double the fine and imprisonment for two years to 15 years considering the seriousness of the offense and confiscation of assets as per sub-section (1) and (2) of section 34 Done .
