The Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA) has given the responsibility of acting chairman to the deputy chairman DP Aryal. The RSVP secretariat meeting held on Monday decided to give the responsibility of acting chairman to Deputy Chairman Aryal.

RSVP Chief Whip Santosh Pariyar informed that Chairman Ravi Lamichhane has sent a letter to the party's Acting Chairman Aryal and the proposal has been approved by the party's secretariat meeting. The secretariat meeting of the party has been held virtually. Chief Whip Pariyar also informed that central committee meeting will be held soon in the secretariat meeting.

Ravi Lamichhane, president of RSVP, has been automatically suspended as a member of Parliament after the charge sheet was filed against him for money laundering. After Lamichhane's suspension as an MP, the RSVP parliamentary party will also have to elect a new leader.  The parliamentary party meeting has not been called immediately, it is said that it will be held after calling the parliament session.
