UML has finalized the candidates for the local by-elections to be held on November 16. The UML central secretariat meeting approved the recommendations made by the provincial and district committees on Saturday and finalized the candidates.

'The secretariat meeting has decided on the local level candidates,' UML election department chief Niraj Acharya informed, 'Now the candidates have entered the election field.' Deputy Secretary General Pradeep Gyawali informed that it was directed to be circulated.

The municipal, village head and deputy head candidates approved by UML include Surendra Manandhar as the head of Kathmandu Kirtipur municipality, Tulsiram Vishwas as head of Morang Gramathan rural municipality, Uma Lungeli Magar Sherpa as vice chairman of Gaurishankar rural municipality, Uma Lungeli Magar Sherpa as vice chairman of Puthauttarganga rural municipality in Rukum, Kumari Tulachan as deputy head of Puthauttarganga rural municipality in Rukum, and Sunita Bohra as deputy head of Jajarkot Nalgad municipality. , Humla Sarkegad Rural Municipality  Jana Shahi and Bajura Swamikartik Khapar are the vice presidents and Sulochanakumari Bhandari Budha is the vice president.
