More than 900 tourists a day have been prevented from coming to Khumbu due to the cancellation of more than 40 flights a day. Umesh Panthi, head of Tenzing Hillary Airport Lukla, informed that the entrance to the airport has been covered by clouds since morning.

According to him, yesterday, various airlines were forced to cancel more than 45 flights due to bad weather. At the beginning of this week, there were up to 53 flights in a single day, and there was excitement in this area when up to 1,000 tourists entered daily. Currently, three airline companies operate more than 30 flights from Manthali in Ramechhap, while an average of 10 flights from Kathmandu airport per day  It's going to happen .

"Due to the weather, the aircraft will not be able to land, even today there are no other aircraft except 10-12 helicopters," airport chief Umesh Panthi said to Kantipur. Even on Wednesday, due to bad weather, only 10 flights took place .

Now Tara, Summit and Sita Air are flying to Lukla from Ramechhap and Kathmandu. "Even when the weather is favorable, the ships have not been able to come without the permission of the civil aviation," said Vijay Tamang, a businessman from Lukla. Now 12 helicopters are bringing only 200 tourists daily.

Namchebazar is also waiting for the arrival of tourists.
