Ravi Lamichhane, then Managing Director of Gorkha Media Network Pvt. Ltd. gave a statement to the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee that Chairman Gitendra Babu (GB) Rai was financially responsible, but he himself was found to have cut 16 separate checks of around 24 crores. The committee has kept a list of checks cut from the Gorkha media under the signature of the report Lamichhane.

A check signed by Lamichhane has been paid to various companies and individuals amounting to 237,989,731 rupees. Lamichhane has been found to cut a single check up to three crore rupees  .
