Legal professionals and journalists have decided that the president of Kantipur Media Group, Kailash Sirohia, was arrested in a disgraceful manner. Speaking at an interaction program organized by the Federation of Nepal Journalists and the Federation of Nepal Journalists Kantipur Foundation on Thursday, the speaker said that Sirohia was arrested after Kantipur wrote continuous news with evidence about the misappropriation of the cooperative's savings by Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane.

In the program, senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi said that although Sirohia was arrested on the pretext of citizenship, the secret agenda of the state was different. Why has there not been an investigation on the issue of citizenship taken in the year 2036? Why was there no action? When there was a series of news against Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane and he was arrested, he said, 'There is no malice in this, it cannot be said that it is a clean action.' ; He said that it is also necessary to understand why action has not been taken against the Chief District Officer and other government employees who granted citizenship to President Sirohia.
