Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that it is an undemocratic step of the government to prosecute Kantipur Media Group Chairman Kailash Sirohia in a vindictive manner. Deuba wrote on social media, "This decision of the coalition government with the aim of appeasing the media is regrettable."
Sirohia entered the central office of Kantipur Publications in Thapathali and was arrested by the police from the office. The team of SSP Sanuram Bhattarai and SP Ravindra Regmi of the Valley Crime Investigation Office Kathmandu arrested Sirohia on Tuesday afternoon.
